Individual Counselling

Sometimes life brings us to a place we didn't expect, and we find ourselves carrying more than we know how to hold alone.

Individual counselling offers you a quiet, grounded, confidential space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and begin to find your way through. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, burnout, a significant life transition, or a quiet sense that something needs to shift, this is a space where all of it is welcome.

There is no expectation that you have the right words, know where to begin, or have everything figured out. We simply start where you are.

I offer individual counselling online Australia-wide, as well as in person in the greater Brisbane area through Walk and Talk Counselling or in-room sessions by enquiry.

Counselling Services

There are different ways we can work together, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for you. Whether we meet online, walk side by side in nature, or connect in person, our work begins in exactly the same place, with you.

Individual Counselling Online

Receive counselling from the comfort, privacy and familiarity of your own space, wherever you are in Australia. Online sessions offer the same warmth, depth and connection as meeting in person, while allowing you the flexibility to access support from home.

Individual Walk & Talk Counselling

Walk and talk counselling offers a gentle, nature-based alternative to the traditional counselling room. We walk alongside each other rather than face-to-face, with nature as our backdrop.

Research increasingly supports the therapeutic benefits of movement and nature-based therapy, from reduced anxiety and improved mood to greater openness in session. Walking together creates conditions for healing that a traditional counselling room simply cannot.

We walk at your pace, unhurried and without agenda. We might stop to observe the water, rest on a bench, or simply sit quietly for a moment. Whatever feels right at the time is welcome.

If you're unsure where to begin, I offer a complimentary 10-minute connection call for all new clients. It's an opportunity to ask questions, explore what you're looking for, and see whether The Hearth Space feels like the right fit for you.

Please note: The Hearth Space is a private practice, and sessions are self-funded. Medicare rebates are not available. Health fund rebates may be available for eligible Bupa members. If you are unsure about your level of cover, I encourage you to contact your health fund directly before your appointment.

How to get started

1. Book a complimentary 10-minute connection call

A gentle conversation to answer your questions, explore what you're looking for, and see whether The Hearth Space feels like the right fit for you. There is no obligation to book.

2. Book your first counselling session

Choose the option that feels right for you.

Online counselling can be booked directly online at a time that suits you.

Walk & Talk Therapy and in-person counselling are arranged by enquiry. Once we have confirmed a suitable time, date and location, I'll send through your booking confirmation.

3. Complete your details and consent form

Before your first session, you'll receive a short client details form and consent form to complete. These give me your contact details and background, and give you a clear picture of privacy and policies before we begin.

4. We begin

Your first session is a chance to meet, share a little of what's brought you here, and get a feel for working together. There is no agenda, no pressure, and no expectation to share more than you are ready to.

From there, we work at your pace. Some sessions go deep, others are quieter. All of it is welcome.
